CBN against Commercial Banks' Profit

The authority of the CBN has moved against the profit being declared by Commercial Banks. They are not satisfied with the volume of profit margin claimed despite the global credit crunch. To this end, it has sent some of its staffs to Commercial Banks under a name like Profit Auditors or something, i've forgotten sha but the fact is does the balance sheet figure actually tells the true position of banks? This falls in line with the perspective with which the CBN governor Prof. Charles Soludo reiterating on the loans given out to customers and the recovery of such loans. Anyway sha, the banks have some Q's to give A's to and maybe time'll tell. Let's keep our fingers crossed and watch.
