Babysitter
It was 6th of August and my boss called out to me -Dayo,i answered ma and she said "i will be having a guest today who'll be coming with her kids.what you'll help me do is get them something to eat when they come",i said okay ma.The next thing was "i'll be going out with her i.e her guest and what you'll do is sit with the children at the canteen while we're away",immediately i said that can't be possible when staff will be there eating,she said "it's possible afterall the kids will also be eating".I had no cause to argue with her further when i had suggested a waiting room but she refused saying the canteen is okay since they (the kids) can watch the TV set.
Eventually,my boss went to the canteen to reserve some food for her guests after we had debated so long on what to get for them most especially the kids,pointing out they are from "Jand"-efizzy you know.On the long-run,they eventually arrived and my boss was hollad from the reception that she had someone to see her,she directed them to come up and i was told to tell them to go wait for her.
When she went to meet them,she took them to the canteen after which i warmed their meal and served them.At the time they were through with the meal and my boss and the friend were ready to leave,she came to the office to call me "we are ready to leave now so come and stay with the children" i was like what rubbish-you know how it sounds like.
At the canteen,they both left and i was with the kids but i broke the silence that was present by engaging the children,what's your name? i asked the younger one who's a girl and she responded in a composed tone (oral english),Titi (9)which sounded like nonsense to my hearing remember they're from jand (England),the elder one said he's Seun (13) and that was how we started.
All this while,i was to be be doing official work but i couldn't help the sitaution,people who saw me were kind of what you doing here and i had no option than to tell them and everybody wanted to chat with the kids knowing they're from UK.By and large,i stayed with them for like 3 hours from around 3pm to 6pm when i was to leave office and seeing their mum wasn't back with my boss,i had to take them to the office to sit with people who'll still be around.
You should know kids,i answered a lot of questions and they infact taught me a game.To be sincere,i wish to be with them again but it was not possible as they came on an holiday in Nigeria and iwas made to realise they'll be leaving back for UK the following week.
"To say the truth i had a nice time with them but the whole thing looks crazy to me afterwards"
